Effective July 1, 2018, e-Filing will become Mandatory in all Unlimited Civil and Juvenile Dependency matters. See our eFiling information page for additional information.
The Civil Division located at the North Butte County Courthouse facility (1775 Concord Avenue, Chico) handles Small Claims and Unlawful Detainer actions for Chico and Paradise, and all other Limited Civil and all Unlimited Civil matters for the entire county. The Butte County Courthouse facility (1 Court Street, Oroville) handles Small Claims and Unlawful Detainer actions for Oroville and Gridley only. Effective July 1, 2017, all Civil matters, including Oroville and Gridley Small Claims and Unlawful Detainers, will be handled at the North Butte County Courthouse.
